He is an Account Manager at the Agency and serves as Content Editor for a broad spectrum of both web-based and print materials. He works in concert with the Director of National Media Relations to sharpen the focus of media outreach plans for a number of the Agency's clients in banking, law and healthcare sectors.

Prior to joining Carey O'Donnell PR Group, he worked as a journalist for publications based in New York and South Florida covering a wide range of issues pertaining to local, county, state and federal government agencies, schools, urban affairs, immigration, real estate and natural disasters. He was a member of the Pulitzer-prize finalist teams at the Sun Sentinel in 2004 and 2005 that covered the unprecedented hurricane seasons in those years with a record number of storms hitting Florida. He also was part of the team that was a finalist for one of the country's most prestigious investigative reporting awards in 2004 related to fraudulent claims made to the Federal Emergency Management Agency after Hurricane Frances. His three-day investigative series for The Post-Standard in Syracuse NY, "Painting Over Danger: How the government fails to protect children from lead poisoning," won numerous community and state awards. He has extensive experience working with local, state and national nonprofit and advocacy groups both as a journalist and public relations professional.

Luis attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, earning a dual bachelor's degree in psychology and communications. He earned a master's of science degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York.
